Blackguards 2 is a turn-based strategy-RPG game that offers challenging hexfield battles and a gritty story filled with violence and crime. Developed by Daedalic Entertainment, it is exclusively available on Xbox One. In this game, you get to choose your playstyle as a front-line combat monster, mage, or ranged fighter. Your decisions have consequences, and death may be just around the corner.
The game follows the story of Cassia, a young woman of noble descent who aims to claim the Shark Throne, no matter the price, even if it's just for a day. However, she faces two problems. Firstly, she spends her days incarcerated in a dungeon, and secondly, there is already a man on her throne, Marwan. To achieve her goal, Cassia needs to break out of prison and overthrow Marwan to claim the throne herself. She needs strong allies, an army of sellswords, and the Vanquishers of the Nine Hordes to rally around her. The game offers more than 20 challenging hours of playtime and a story with many twists and turns, fateful decisions, and non-linear paths to master and finish the game.
